
On Sunday, February 2, 2025, the first District Planning Committee meeting after the 2024 Assembly Elections was held in Sangli. The meeting was chaired by the Honorable Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Parliamentary Affairs, and Sangli District Guardian Minister, Shri. Chandrakant Dada Patil.
Satyajit Deshmukh, a member of the District Planning Committee, expressed his gratitude to the honorable Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the Mahayuti alliance for providing him the opportunity to serve as a nominated member.

🔶 Emphasizing the importance of development in education, irrigation, and tourism. He also suggested provisions for building protective walls for villages along the Warna river, affected by heavy rains and floods.
🔶 He stressed the need for awareness programs in schools to combat illegal activities and other social issues.
🔶 For Kasegaon, Deshmukh urged for the approval of a Trauma Care Center and City Scan facilities at the rural hospital. He also emphasized the need for a modern police station building in Kasegaon.
🔶 He proposed sending a proposal for the establishment of a rural hospital in Kurulap.
🔶 He suggested allocating funds to address human-wildlife conflict in certain areas and urged for more funding to develop the Chandoli Tourism site and for the Jal Jeevan Mission to ensure access to water.
🔶 He also called for provisions for rural electrification and better power supply connections in remote areas.
Deshmukh’s active participation in the meeting reflects his commitment to the progress of Sangli and his focus on addressing the district’s most pressing challenges. His efforts aim to uplift the rural and urban areas, focusing on education, healthcare, infrastructure, and environmental protection.
