नाथ फाटा ते चिखली (ता. शिराळा) दरम्यानच्या रस्त्यावर ठीक ठिकाणी खड्डे पडले आहेत. याबाबत दैनिक पुण्यनगरीने आज (ता. 19) च्या अंकात सचित्र वृत्त प्रसिद्ध केले. परंतू यापैकी सर्वांत मोठा खड्ड्यात चक्क माती भरण्यात आल्याचे आज निर्दशनास आले. सार्वजनिक प्रश्न सोडविण्याचा अजब प्रकार समोर आला आहे. अशा प्रकारे तातडीने खड्डे बुजवता येतात, हेच जणू दाखवून देण्याचा प्रयत्न झाला आहे.
हा प्रकार बांधकाम विभागाकडून करण्यात आला असल्यास, राज्य शासनाने याची दखल घेवून कसे तातडीने खड्डे बुजवावेत याचे परितोषिक जाहिर करावे, अशी मागणी नागरिकांतून होत आहे. सूतगिरणी ते नाथ फाटा दरम्यान अनेक खड्डे पडले आहेत. हा रस्ता एका बाजूने तीव्र उतार तर दुसऱ्या बाजूला तीव्र चढ असा आहे. या दरम्यान दोन्ही बाजूकडून येणाऱ्या वाहनांचा वेग वाढलेला असतो. त्यातच खडे चुकवण्याचा प्रयत्नात मोठ्या अपघाताची शक्यता नाकारता येत नाही. या मार्गावर मोठी वाहतूक आहे. शिवाय या मार्गावरून सरूड, बांबवडे मार्ग कोल्हापूर, शाहूवाडी मलकापूरकडे वाहतूक होते. अनर्थ होण्यापूर्वी यावर उपाय योजना व्हाव्यात यासाठी या प्रश्नाकडे लक्ष वेधले होते. मात्र खड्यात माती भरण्याचा अजब प्रकार करण्यात आल्याचे समोर आले आहे.
भाटशिरगाव ते नाथफाटा दरम्यान रस्त्यावरील खड्यात माती कोणी भरली, हे समजायलाच हवे, अशी जनभावना आहे. सार्वजनिक बांधकाम विभागाचे हे कृत्य केले असल्यास, ही गंभीर बाब आहे. याची दखल जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांनी व बांधकाम विभागाच्या वरिष्ठ अधिकाऱ्यांनी घ्यावी अशी मागणी होत आहे.
The road between Nath Phata and Chikhali (Tal. Shirala) has developed multiple potholes at various locations. The issue was highlighted with photographs in today’s (19th) edition of Dainik PunyNagari. However, what came to light later was even more surprising—one of the largest potholes had been merely filled with soil instead of being properly repaired. This unusual way of addressing a public problem has raised concerns among citizens. It appears as if an attempt was made to demonstrate how potholes can be “quickly” filled without proper roadwork.
If this act was carried out by the Public Works Department, the state government should take notice and perhaps even announce an award for such “instant” road repairs, citizens sarcastically remark. From Sootgirni to Nath Phata, multiple potholes have developed. This road has a steep incline on one side and a sharp descent on the other. Vehicles traveling from both directions often maintain high speeds, increasing the risk of accidents, especially as drivers attempt to dodge the potholes.
This route carries heavy traffic and connects to major roads leading to Sarud, Bambavade, Kolhapur, Shahuwadi, and Malkapur. The risk of a serious accident looms large due to these road conditions. Immediate action was demanded to resolve this issue before a catastrophe occurs, but instead, the solution applied was simply filling the potholes with soil—a shocking and ineffective measure.
Public Demand for Accountability
A crucial question remains unanswered: Who exactly filled the potholes with soil on the road between Bhatshirgaon and Nath Phata? If this was indeed the work of the Public Works Department, it is a highly serious matter. Citizens demand that the District Collector and senior officials of the Public Works Department take notice of this issue and ensure proper repairs are carried out immediately.
