The launch of Vasundhara Abhiyan Phase 5 took place in Wategaon, organized by the Wategaon Gram Panchayat. Trupti Dhodmise, Sangli District CEO, inaugurated the campaign and applauded Wategaon for its exceptional success in Phase 4 of the initiative.
During the event, Dhodmise highlighted the importance of holistic development that integrates environmental sustainability with progress. She commended the Wategaon Gram Panchayat for being a role model, not just at the district level but also across the state, through its consistent efforts in cleanliness, renewable energy use, and environmental awareness programs. The success of Wategaon and 15 other Gram Panchayats in Sangli demonstrates how grassroots-level initiatives can make a significant impact.
