वाघवाडी : वाळवा तालुक्यातील कार्वे, शेखरवाडी, ऐतवडे बुद्रूक व ढगेवाडी या गावातील शेतकऱ्यांना व नागरिकांना फायदा होईल या दृष्टीने वाकुर्डे बुद्रूक योजनेतील पाणी सोडावे, अशी मागणी करणारे निवेदन आज देण्यात आले.
विराज उद्योग समूहाचे अध्यक्ष विराज नाईक व यशवंत ग्लुकोज कारखान्याचे अध्यक्ष रणधीर नाईक यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली वरील चार गावातील शेतकऱ्यांनी वाघवाडी येथील वारणा डावा कालवे विभागाच्या कार्यालयात कार्यकारी अभियंता डी. डी. शिंदे यांना भेटून निवेदन दिले.
निवेदनात म्हटले की, सध्य परिस्थितीत वाकुर्डे योजनेतून कार्वे येथील पाझर तलावात पाणी सोडण्यात येत आहे. ज्या पाण्याचा फायदा काही धनदांडग्या लोकांना होत आहे. सर्वसामान्य शेतकरी या लाभापासून वंचित राहिला आहे.
यासाठी गावच्या पश्चिम बाजूकडून वाहणाऱ्या मसोबा ओढा व पूर्व बाजूकडून वाहणारा सुतार ओढ्यात पाणी सोडल्यास या दोन्ही ओढ्यावरील बंधारे व विहिरी पूर्ण क्षमतेने भरतील व त्याचा लाभ कार्वे, शेखरवाडी, ऐतवडे बुद्रूक व ढगेवाडी या गावातील शेतकऱ्यांना होईल.
सध्या रब्बी पिकांचा हंगाम चालू असून शाळू, हरभरा, गहू, मका ही पिके पाण्याअभावी वाळू लागली आहेत. शेतकरी अडचणीत आला आहे. तरी सत्वर तलावासह या दोन ओढ्यांना नियमित पाणी सोडावे.
Waghwadi: Farmers and residents of Karve, Shekharwadi, Aitwade Budruk, and Dhagewadi in Walwa Taluka have submitted a memorandum demanding the release of water from the Wakurde Budruk scheme for their benefit. Under the leadership of Viraj Naik, Chairman of Viraj Udyog Group, and Randhir Naik, Chairman of Yashwant Glucose Factory, farmers from these four villages met Executive Engineer D. D. Shinde at the Warna Left Canal Department office in Waghwadi and submitted their demand.
The memorandum stated that currently, water from the Wakurde scheme is being diverted to the Karve percolation tank, benefiting only a few wealthy individuals while common farmers remain deprived. To ensure fair distribution, water should be released into Masoba Odha (flowing west of the village) and Sutar Odha (flowing east of the village). This would help fill the barrages and wells on these streams to full capacity, benefiting farmers in Karve, Shekharwadi, Aitwade Budruk, and Dhagewadi.
The rabi crop season is ongoing, and crops like sorghum, chickpea, wheat, and maize are drying up due to a lack of water, putting farmers in distress. The memorandum strongly urged the authorities to immediately release water into these streams and the percolation tank to aid struggling farmers.
