दि. 17 मार्च 2026 रोजी नागठाणे येथे घडलेली घटना ही केवळ अपघात नसून निष्काळजीपणाचा गंभीर नमुना आहे. पाटोळे टॉवर परिसरात पाईपलाईनसाठी करण्यात आलेले खोदकाम कोणत्याही सुरक्षेविना खुले ठेवण्यात आले होते.

वादळामुळे परिसरात अंधार असताना:
• कोणतेही बॅरिकेड्स नव्हते
• इशारा फलक नव्हते
• सुरक्षा व्यवस्था पूर्णपणे अनुपस्थित होती

याच निष्काळजीपणाचा फटका सेवानिवृत्त पोलीस श्री. भगवान महादेव देसाई यांना बसला. ते वाहनावरून जात असताना सैल मातीवर घसरून थेट खड्यात पडले आणि गंभीर जखमी झाले.

सध्या त्यांच्यावर Koyna Multispeciality Hospital येथे उपचार सुरू असून त्यांची प्रकृती स्थिर आहे.
