A significant meeting regarding the Wakurde Budruk Scheme took place at the Sangli Irrigation Department. The event witnessed the presence of prominent leaders, including MLA Satyajit Deshmukh and MLA Sadabhau Khot. The agenda focused on addressing the concerns of farmers from 48 villages within the constituency, ensuring equitable water distribution under the scheme.
Farmers from Karve, Shekharwadi, Shivpuri, Rethredharan, Surul, Aitwade Budruk, and Yedenipani shared their challenges. Key resolutions and suggestions were made to expedite solutions for these issues.
The meeting saw active participation from district secretary Sanjay Ghorpade, Valva West Mandal President Dr. Sachin Patil, Vice Presidents Ashok Patil and Jayaraj Patil, Shirala Mandal President Hanmantrao Patil, and officers from the irrigation department.
This collaborative effort highlighted the commitment to resolving farmers’ concerns and improving water resource management in the region.
