Randhir Naik Protest – शिराळा : कराड–मलकापूर राज्य मार्गावरील मेणी फाटा ते कोकरुड दरम्यान असलेल्या अपघातप्रवण भागात गतिरोधक (स्पीड ब्रेकर) बसविण्याची मागणी अखेर मान्य झाली असून संबंधित ठिकाणी कामाला सुरुवात करण्यात आली आहे. काही ठिकाणी गतिरोधक बसविण्याचे काम पूर्ण झाले आहे.
ही कारवाई Randhir Naik आणि Viraj Naik यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली झालेल्या रास्ता रोको आंदोलनानंतर करण्यात आली आहे.
🚧 प्रशासनाची तातडीने दखल
येळापूर येथे Nationalist Congress Party – Sharadchandra Pawar faction पक्षाच्या वतीने रास्ता रोको आंदोलन करण्यात आले होते. या आंदोलनानंतर प्रशासनाने तातडीने दखल घेत संबंधित ठिकाणी गतिरोधक बसविण्याचे काम सुरू केले.
या मार्गावर वारंवार अपघात होत असल्यामुळे स्थानिक नागरिकांमध्ये मोठ्या प्रमाणात नाराजी होती.
⚠️ आंदोलनानंतर प्रशासनाला जाग
गेल्या काही काळापासून नागरिकांनी अनेक निवेदने दिली होती, परंतु प्रशासनाकडून कोणतीही ठोस कारवाई होत नव्हती. त्यामुळे अखेर राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसच्या पदाधिकाऱ्यांनी आणि स्थानिक ग्रामस्थांनी एकत्र येत रास्ता रोको आंदोलन छेडले.
या आंदोलनाचे नेतृत्व यशवंत ग्लुकोज कारखान्याचे अध्यक्ष रणधीर नाईक आणि विराज उद्योग समूहाचे अध्यक्ष व जिल्हा परिषद सदस्य विराज नाईक यांनी केले होते.
👥 नागरिकांमध्ये समाधान
सध्या गतिरोधक बसविण्याचे काम सुरू झाल्याने परिसरातील नागरिकांनी समाधान व्यक्त केले आहे. या उपाययोजनांमुळे अपघातांचे प्रमाण कमी होऊन वाहनचालकांचे प्राण वाचण्यास मदत होईल, अशी अपेक्षा व्यक्त करण्यात येत आहे.
Shirala, Sangli: The road blockade protest organized by Randhir Naik and Viraj Naik has achieved success as authorities have started installing speed breakers on the accident-prone stretch between Meni Phata and Kokrud on the Karad–Malkapur State Highway.
The agitation was organized by the Nationalist Congress Party – Sharadchandra Pawar faction, following repeated accidents on this route that had caused several fatalities and serious injuries.
🚧 Administration Takes Immediate Action
After the protest held at Yelapur, the administration took immediate notice of the issue and initiated the work of installing speed breakers at key accident-prone spots along the road. In some locations, the speed breakers have already been installed.
Local residents had been demanding urgent safety measures for a long time due to frequent road accidents on this stretch.
⚠️ Protest That Forced Authorities to Act
Despite several memorandums and representations submitted earlier, authorities had failed to take action. As public anger grew, local leaders and citizens came together to stage a road blockade protest in Yelapur.
The protest was led by Randhir Naik, Chairman of Yashwant Glucose Factory, along with Viraj Naik, Chairman of Viraj Industry Group and Zilla Parishad member.
During the protest, officials were contacted over the phone and were given a strong warning that intensified agitation would follow if speed breakers were not installed immediately.
👥 Relief for Local Citizens
With the installation of speed breakers now underway, citizens of the region have expressed relief and appreciation for the efforts of the leaders who raised the issue.
Residents believe that these safety measures will significantly reduce accidents and protect the lives of commuters using the Karad–Malkapur highway.
