अखेर शिराळा ते मांगले रस्त्यावरील गोरक्षनाथ मंदिरापर्यंतचे खड्डे बुजविले.
महायोगी गोरक्षनाथ यात्रेच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर बांधकाम विभागाची तत्परता : पुण्यनगरीने आवाज उठवला.

शिराळा येथून मांगले जाणाऱ्या रस्त्यावर महायोगी गोरक्षनाथ मंदिरापर्यंतच्या रस्त्यावर अनेक ठिकाणी भले मोठे खड्डे पडून रस्ताच गायब झाल्याचे चित्र होते. त्यामुळे खड्यातून आदळ आपट करीत वाहन चालकांना वाहने चालवावी लागत होती. याबाबत सार्वजनिक बांधकाम विभागाने त्वरित कार्यवाही करावी. खड्डे बुजवून वाहन चालकांना दिलासा द्यावा, अशी मागणी दैनिक पुण्यनगरीने 27 मार्चच्या अंकात सचित्र प्रसिद्ध केली होती. वाहन चालकांची मागणी व पुण्यनगरीच्या बातमीची दखल घेऊन सार्वजनिक बांधकाम विभागाने हे सर्व खड्डे डांबर, खडी टाकून बुजविले आहेत. त्यामुळे वाहन चालक, सकाळी व संध्याकाळी फिरायला जाणाऱ्यांतून समाधान व्यक्त होत आहे. त्यातच येत्या 24 एप्रिल पासून महायोगी गोरक्षनाथांची यात्रेचा प्रारंभ होत आहे. या निमित्ताने लाखो भाविक येथे येतात. सात दिवस चालणाऱ्या यात्रेत मोठी आर्थिक उलाढाल होते. त्या पार्श्वभूमीवर या रस्त्यावर पडलेले खड्डे बुजविणे आवश्यक होते.
शिवाय मांगले, वारणानगर, कोल्हापूरकडे जाणारा रस्ता असल्यामुळे या रस्त्यावर दैनंदिन वाहतूकही मोठ्या प्रमाणावर असते. वाहन चालकांची अडचण सुटल्यामुळे सर्व थरांतून समाधान व्यक्त होत आहे.

The road from Shirala to Mangle leading to the sacred Mahayogi Gorakhnath Temple was in terrible condition, riddled with large potholes that made driving extremely difficult. Vehicles had to navigate dangerously through these damaged stretches.
Recognizing the inconvenience to daily commuters and the potential hazard ahead of the grand Mahayogi Gorakhnath Yatra, Punya Nagari newspaper raised the issue with a detailed, image-supported report published on March 27. The report highlighted the urgent need for the Public Works Department (PWD) to address the road damage.
Responding promptly to the coverage and public concern, the PWD acted quickly by filling the potholes using tar and gravel. This action brought much-needed relief to motorists and pedestrians, especially those who walk along the road in the mornings and evenings.
With the Mahayogi Gorakhnath Yatra beginning on April 24, when lakhs of devotees are expected to visit, fixing the road was crucial. The week-long yatra not only holds spiritual significance but also generates considerable economic activity in the region.
Additionally, this road serves as a major route connecting Mangle, Warananagar, and Kolhapur, and experiences heavy daily traffic. The repair work has brought satisfaction to people across the board, and the initiative has been widely appreciated.
