A health check-up camp was recently organized at the Shirala Sub-District Hospital under the Mansing Bhau Lok Kalyan Abhiyan. The camp’s inauguration was conducted by Randhir Naik, Chairman of Yashwant Glucose Factory, with Mansingrao Naik, President of the Sangli District Central Cooperative Bank, presiding over the event. Viraj Naik, President of the NCP Youth Wing in the district, was the chief guest.

The camp began with Randhir Naik cutting the ribbon to formally inaugurate the event. The focus was on providing primary examinations for disability certificates, including checks for physical disabilities, mental health, and eye health.

Prominent attendees included ‘Vishwas’ directors Vijayarav Nalawade, Vishwas Kadam, and Shivaji Patil; NCP Shirala Taluka President B.K. Nayakwadi; former ZP members Pravin Shete and Mahadev Kadam; and several other political and social dignitaries.

A team of esteemed doctors, including Dr. Nutan Kasne, Dr. Shakeel Yelurkar, Dr. Gayatri Vadgave, Dr. Sheetal Shinde, and Dr. Nilesh Patil, along with healthcare staff, examined over 300 patients during the camp. Among these, 107 individuals qualified for disability certificates, categorized as 54 for physical disabilities, 19 for mental disabilities, and 34 for eye-related issues.

The camp witnessed significant participation, highlighting the commitment to community welfare and health improvement in the Shirala region.
