A crucial meeting regarding the Wakurde Budruk project was held at the Sangli Irrigation Department. The meeting included representatives from Shirala Vidhan Sabha constituency, department officials, and farmers.
Prominent attendees were:
- Shirala MLA Satyajit Bhau Deshmukh
- Legislative Council Member Sadabhau Khot
- BJP Leader and Chairman of Vanshree Dairy Union, Samrat Baba Mahadik
During the meeting, issues of farmers from 48 villages, including those in the constituency, were addressed. Suggestions were made to ensure the equitable distribution of water. Farmers from villages like Karve, Shekharwadi, Shivpuri, Retharedharan, Surul, Aitwade Budruk, and Yedenipani raised their concerns.
Directions were given to resolve these issues promptly. District leaders, including Sanjay Ghorpade, Sachin Patil, Ashok Patil, Jayraj Patil, and Hanmantrao Patil, along with irrigation department officials and engineers, were present.
